In the 1990s, the late John Guy Slocomb (former President/CEO of the First National Bank of Livingston) recognized a need for investment and insurance services for his bank customers. In responding to this need, he developed the concept of Church Street Financial Services, a one-stop-shop for insurance coverage and investment advice inside the First National Bank. Developing this company to provide the same outstanding service with the "Customer First" mentality that is supplied by First National Bank, Church Street Financial Services became a wholly owned subsidiary of The First National Bank of Livingston.

Since 1997, Church Street has remained focused on helping individual investors and businesses successfully reach their financial goals and insurance needs by matching investor risks and time horizons with appropriate investments and insurance coverage. Church Street focuses on low risk, high quality investments held for the long term.
